Grady's Big Debut

Grady had several performance opportunities this holiday season, both at school and church. His first performance was as Joseph in the school Christmas program. He was SO excited about his big part, and he took it so seriously. He also told us that he was not nervous at all. This was not actually a speaking role, but he, Mary, and the angel were the only three costumed characters, so it was a big honor to get the part of Joseph. All of the children sang songs that basically told the story of Christmas. Mrs. Jamison, the director also narrated.

Here is some video from the show...

I also got some cute pictures...

Waiting to enter, with Mary

So many friends came to tell him what a great job he did after the show, and I know that just made his day. He has been talking to me about wanting to do more theater, so we may try to get him involved in the South Carolina Children's Theater. My little ham!

Christmas Fun

Before Camille's arrival we tried to fit in as much Christmasy fun as possible. First, we had to get our Christmas tree...

We also did breakfast with Santa, but unfortunately Anson was too sick to go. Grady was so cute though. He colored nicely, wrote a letter to Santa, and gave Santa tons of hugs.

Here we are, coloring

Camille has Arrived!

We are so proud to announce that Camille Rose Schmidt has arrived! I was scheduled for an induction on December 22 but she decided to pick her own birthday instead. On the evening of December 19 I started having contractions while I was playing with the boys. After putting them to bed (and having contractions through Grady's story time) I headed to the hospital. We got there at about 8pm, and she was born at 2:19AM on December 20th. She was 6 pounds 15 ounces and 19 inches long. She was perfectly healthy in every way and seems to be doing great so far. She loves to eat and sleeps quite well for a tiny baby. She even likes her basinette! We are all so in love with her already.

Here are a few of her hospital photos:
