A Visit From Nana

This past weekend Nana paid us a visit, and we had a great time! It was so very nice to see her - we had been missing her like crazy. She took Grady out to dinner on Saturday night and to the pumpkin patch on Sunday. She also drove him to school on Monday so she could check out the new school (they did lots of work on his school over the summer). The only complaint I have about the visit is that it was TOO SHORT! Come back to see us again REALLY soon Nana! Grady says he misses you tons.

Anson's face when he first saw Nana - BIG smiles!

We got out the Exersaucer for the first time this weekend. He's a bit wobbly in it still, but with the help of a blanket, he was enjoying it quite a bit!

Ooooh - the star!

I have a little song I sing to him about his fat knees :)

LOVE this look

We also met Sophie the Giraffe this weekend (a $20 teether that is worth every penny). Anson is in love.

I have a song about those thighs too

Before Nana left Grady was totally trying to stall her. He got her to read him one last book:

Nana has some pictures that I'll be adding, but that's it for now.

Thanks so much for a fun visit Nana - you were lots of help too!

Random Cuteness

He is teething in a major way! I got him Sophie the Giraffe (a $20 teething toy!) and he loves it. So I guess it was worth the $$.

A few of Grady - I was feeding A in the garage, and he was picking me flowers and putting them in vases :)

Nana is in town this weekend, and while it is nice that I can relax a bit while she hangs with G, I am a bit jealous. He has been off doing all sorts of fun stuff with her, and I have been hanging out at home with baby A. I wanted to go with them to the pumpkin patch, but it is almost 90 degrees with very hot sun, so it wasn't going to work to have him nap in the Moby - WAY too hot. We still haven't gotten any weather cooler than the 80's (except for 1 or 2 days last week), so I am seriously ready for fall weather!

Fun weekend pics to come!

YUM YUM!

Anson tried his first solid food on Tuesday, October 5th. It was just some rice cereal mixed with milk, but it was certainly exciting to him! His reaction was varied - ranging from interested, to confused, to downright mad. Grady joined in the fun by officially feeding him his first bite. He was BEYOND excited about this and had been asking for days when we could feed Anson.

There will be much yummier foods in your future Baby A - I promise!

In keeping with the messy food theme for the day, Grady and I decided to bake brownies. I of course let him lick the bowl.
