Our Adventure in Georgia - Part 1

On Labor Day weekend we headed to Stone Mountain, GA, which is just east of Atlanta.  They have a great campground and lots to do.  It was a wonderful weekend with great weather and so many fun activities!

When we arrived at our campsite and saw the view we were thrilled!

Anson helped to direct Eric as he backed in

Grady ran right down to check out the lake

The boys were excited to fish!  Anson had just earned a fishing pole for good behavior

The next morning we woke up to this beautiful view

We headed over to the village where all of the fun attractions are

This place was awesome - a huge indoor playground!

Working the water pump outside

Then we took the lift to the top of the mountain!

At the top!

The view on the way down

Down at the bottom

Back inside the play barn

Then we took a train ride around the base of the mountain, which was really fun!

Then we went to the splashy playground, which the kids loved!

What a fun day!  The kids just loved all the great sights and activities!

My Gal Pal

I really enjoy my time with Camille when the boys are at school.  She is typically quite easy going and fun, and we do all sorts of things together.

Making messy crafts or doing messy sensory projects is a favorite activity.  We made pink glitter goop one day - super fun!

We also made purple cloud dough

Camille also enjoys gymnastics!  We have done Gymboree for many months, though I decided to recently finish up so she has time for dance and (hopefully soon!) regular gymnastics.  They always have a theme and it was fire trucks on the day I took this picture.  She loved it!

Camille also loves a good playground.  She will just play and play, unlike her brothers at her age, who liked to pick in the dirt more :). We really enjoy the airport playground!

Finally, a major new activity in Camille's life is dance class!  She really loves it, gets all excited every time we go, adores her teacher, and is such a great listener in class!  Thank you Nana and Papa for sending her to dance class!

This was her before her first class!

A video of her before class

And during class

And a very blurry one of her dancing with her teacher

I just love hanging out with that girl :)

A Hike with the G Man

Grady and Mama both love to hike, so sometimes we sneak off and fit in a hike, just the two of us.  Recently we headed to Paris Mountain and hiked about 4 miles on trails we had never done before.  It was tough but lots of fun too.  We saw so many creatures, plants, and mushrooms!

A beautiful orange mushroom

A cool red salamander

A large lizard

We hiked up to ruins where the fire marshall used to stay

It was a fun morning and great exercise!
