Christmas is Here!

After much anticipation, the big day was finally here!  Grady showed much restraint and actually waited until we came and got him around 7AM (once the little kids were up).  This is what the tree looked like on Christmas morning:

The boys and their stockings

Camille checking out hers

Grady was very excited about this fire truck from Santa!

And wrenches from Dada (he gets him a tool of his own each year for his tool box)

Camille liked her tea set but was SUPER excited about "chewy beans"

They got an awesome easel from Nana and Papa!

More Legos!

They got a new dress-up center and lots of new dress-up clothes!

Anson loved his Imaginext City from Santa!

And Camille immediately wanted to try on her new princess shoes.  Of course they are huge on her tiny feet!

Grady also got a Playmobil Spy Hideout

Anson got a play welding set since he always says he ants to be a welder

Camille got a fun Duplo set where you build cakes and cupcakes

Anson just had to have an umbrella, and we even let him open it in the house!

I have to post this one because it was so sweet.  When Grady's school held a craft fair with items from local people, he spotted these capes and said Anson just had to have one, so this was from Grady to Anson.

Grady gave us this really cool photo with a mat he decorated himself

Nana and Papa gave Camille a beautiful little chair for her room!

Grady got a great squishy body model from Nana and Papa.  It is so cool.  It has all sort of bones and organs.

Anson got a super cool Playmobil crane and truck!

Trying out her chair AND her shoes

Then Anson needed to do some more dress-up

We almost forgot that there was one more BIG gift sitting in the garage...

Here is a link to a cute video of them jumping

Anson got his very first set of regular Legos (it's a starter set for littler kids) and Nana helped him to build them.  No wonder he adores his Nana

When it was snack time Camille enjoyed some traditional Italian Panettone or "Papa Cake" as the kids were calling it

The rest of the day was just spent playing and relaxing

It was chilly, but Nana and Papa took Camille for a walk

We finished the day with more stories by the fire - a perfect ending to a really special, magical Christmas.
