Brothers

I just love when I manage to capture some of the love that I see between Grady and Anson on a daily basis. Here is what they were doing the other day as I got dressed and brushed my teeth...

My Little Sweet Potato

Although Anson was so-so on rice cereal and not so happy about peas, he seems to LOVE sweet potatoes. The first day he tried them he was mildly interested, but by the second try (yesterday), he was ALL about them! He started crying when he saw the container, and apparently it was because I wasn't getting the food to him quickly enough! As soon as I loaded up the spoon and sent it in his direction, he just about jumped on it. He ended up eating the entire container!

Waiting for his food patiently (this was the first day)

And here he is "after"

Just for the record, he does the cutest little smacking thing with his lips when he eats a food he likes.

Wall-E and Baby's First Halloween

We had a really nice Halloween this year. It was special, of course, since it was Anson's first one. It was also special though because of Wall-E! Grady wanted to be Wall-E this year, and I decided to tackle making the costume myself. It was fun and not too difficult, and the best part is he won the neighborhood costume contest in it! He had a blast wearing it and really enjoyed all of the attention it got - especially from the big kids!

Here we are, getting ready for the neighborhood party/parade

Anson woke up late from a nap but joined us at the party! I dressed as a farmer to compliment my little peapod :)

Then we took the costume off so he could sit down for a hay ride

That afternoon we carved and painted pumpkins. Grady really enjoyed painting them since most 3 year olds can't really carve a pumpkin.

We had pumpkins to represent many family members - this one was Nana

He let me carve Mama

This is what Daddy and Anson were up to

And the finished product - I painted the Gaga one on the top left. Yes Gaga, that is you in pumpkin form, if you were wondering.

The next day was Halloween and Grady was so excited for trick-or-treating! So depite no nap we got him all dressed up and ready to go...

Here we are before heading out

He was actually quite happy, but this was his serious "I'm a robot" face. He says Wall-E can't smile.

I gave out candy for a bit while I waited for Anson to wake up.
