We had a really nice Halloween this year. It was special, of course, since it was Anson's first one. It was also special though because of Wall-E! Grady wanted to be Wall-E this year, and I decided to tackle making the costume myself. It was fun and not too difficult, and the best part is he won the neighborhood costume contest in it! He had a blast wearing it and really enjoyed all of the attention it got - especially from the big kids!
Here we are, getting ready for the neighborhood party/parade
All ready to go!
Anson woke up late from a nap but joined us at the party! I dressed as a farmer to compliment my little peapod :)
lining up for voting...
Then we took the costume off so he could sit down for a hay ride
That afternoon we carved and painted pumpkins. Grady really enjoyed painting them since most 3 year olds can't really carve a pumpkin.
We had pumpkins to represent many family members - this one was Nana
He let me carve Mama
This is what Daddy and Anson were up to
And the finished product - I painted the Gaga one on the top left. Yes Gaga, that is you in pumpkin form, if you were wondering.
The next day was Halloween and Grady was so excited for trick-or-treating! So depite no nap we got him all dressed up and ready to go...
Here we are before heading out
He was actually quite happy, but this was his serious "I'm a robot" face. He says Wall-E can't smile.
With his best bud, Drew
I gave out candy for a bit while I waited for Anson to wake up.
Going from house to house
Me and my peapod (once the peapod finally woke up and joined us)
Me and both my fabulous little guys - thanks for making it such a fun Halloween for Mama!
