Anson is 6 Months Old!

Though I already have one little boy (we love you Grady!) it is amazing how new and exciting everything can still feel with another child. It still amazes me how much more I love Anson with each passing day, and it amazes me that he has already been with us for 6 months! It certainly has been a whirlwind, but we have also had many fun and special times. We are looking forward to lots more fun with our baby boy!

So what is Anson up to at 6 months?


Sleep is OK - still waking 2 times per night to eat. He usually sleeps well besides that, though we have had some issues from time to time. He tends to be gassy still! He naps 3-4 times per day for 40-60 minutes, usually.

He is primarily nursing (yay - I made it to my 6 month goal!). He won't take formula (or even a bottle half the time) but he does eat some solids. He likes sweet potatoes, pears, and bananas. He is just so so on carrots and did not seem to really like peas. He really enjoys eating frozen banana slices in his little mesh feeder. I have made a bunch of his food, which has been fun.

As far as size, we know he is long and certainly a nice chunky guy! He is way too big for most of his 3-6 month stuff now and has been in 6-12 month stuff for a while. He wears size 3 diapers.

He is doing lots of new things every day! He "talks" to us quite a bit, though it is still more "cooing" than babbling. He can now sit for short periods of time - usually! Sometimes he just folds in half ;) He is still very strong with his legs. He rolls around a lot - both ways. He is starting to grab grab grab - especially at hair and glasses (his first act of mischief was pulling Nana's glasses off this weekend).

He still loves when we sing to him. He especially loves "You are my Sunshine" and the bird song I sing to him. He loves his playgym and is starting to enjoy the Exersaucer more and more now that he is more stable in it.

He has a nice mellow demeanor and is quite smiley. He has also been laughing more and more! His hair is coming in thicker (and looks blonde!) and his eyes are the same blue as Grady's. And of course he now has ONE TOOTH!
