Downtown

After running my first 5K recently, we decided to head downtown to celebrate with dinner and ice cream.  The weather was beautiful and we had a great evening!

They find a way to interact with nature everywhere we go!

We had dinner at Nose Dive and sat outside

We finished the evening with ice cream at Spill the Beans

I am so lucky to have these three handsome guys!

Cutest Little Girl

I have become convinced that Camille is the cutest little girl in the world.  It's as much her adorable, sweet personality as it is her actual looks.  Some evidence...

Playing with the castle at the library

Coloring with new colored pencils from Grammy Nancy

She really enjoys dresses and was particularly excited to wear this strawberry one for the first time

She was very good when I went to order Anson's birthday cake, so we shared a cupcake.  She tried to be very proper but then she just had to stuff it all in

I mean really, doesn't it look like a lot of fun to be Cami?

Good times!

Camping at the Lake

The week before Easter was Spring Break for the kids.  We decided it would be a great time to take another trip in the camper.  This time we headed to Lake Murray, outside of Columbia.  We had a lakefront spot, and the weather was very warm and sunny.  It was a really fun place, and I am sure we will return.

As soon as we got there the kids had to get in the water!  I was unprepared for such enthusiasm.

This was our campsite - such a great location

Fishing right from our campsite on the first morning!

Then we took a short hike where there were ruins of the home of the man the park is named after

After that hike I took Grady on a long hike (over 2 miles) on his own

He found a snake and loved it

The lake is huge and filled with islands - some are odd (one has goats roaming on it).  We found our own and named it.

Grady also wanted to climb this tree

That night we had s'mores - Camille's first time!

It was so cute that it required a flip book!

Happy Campers!
