We had quite the Christmas-filled weekend in our house! On Friday Anson and I went to Grady's school Christmas party. Then on Saturday morning we had breakfast with Santa. We brought both boys, and everyone was very well behaved for the Big Man. On Saturday afternoon we all went to pick out our Christmas tree (we got the one Grady wanted, and it looks quite beautiful in our living room). We decorated the tree on Sunday morning, and then I took Grady to see the Nutcracker on Sunday afternoon! It was a fantastic production at the Peace Center with some amazing dancers. Grady did so very well throughout the show. The woman next to us commented that she could not believe his attention to the show. So apparently Grady enjoys the ballet! I didn't get pictures because there are no cameras allowed inside the auditorium.
Me and the boys at Breakfast with Santa
Grady got to make an ornament
He was so cute with Santa - he thanked him for last year's gifts and gave him hugs but actually forgot to ask him for anything. I told him that would definitely get him on the "good list"!
Then Anson joined in. He asked for new binkies ;)
The professional photographer also took pictures, so hopefully she got some good ones I can post soon.
Here we are with the pretty tree in the lobby
These are just a few of Anson in his Exersaucer that afternoon. I love the onsie from Gaga!
At the tree place:
This is our tree! It looks much prettier all decorated in our house!
That afternoon Grady had his first hot chocolate of the season while Daddy got out the lights.
Anson watched us string lights. He just sat and watched for like a half hour - he's such a mellow baby!
Ready to help with lights!
Hanging ornaments the next morning:
I wanted Anson to be part of it!
This week should also be fun for the kids - we have Grady's Christmas show at school on Wednesday (so cute!). Then we hope to make a gingerbread house, do Roper Mountain Lights, and maybe see a live Nativity this weekend. Merry Christmas everyone! Hope you are all getting into the spirit too!
