Our second full day at Disney we went to Magic Kingdom! This was the day I was waiting for - seeing the kids' reaction when they saw the castle and all of the great attractions at the Magic Kingdom. We got in early for breakfast and got a few pictures on an almost empty Main Street.
And of course in front of the castle
We headed over to the Crystal Palace and just had a short wait before they were ready for us.
It was such a nice place, and we really enjoyed meeting Pooh Bear and the gang!
Look how excited Grady is!
Eeyore!
Doing some sort of a dance through the restaurant
More characters came to visit... Piglet!
Tigger!
The Crystal Palace really went all out for Grady's birthday - he got a cupcake with a candle, a card signed by the characters, and confetti on the table.
Nana and Papa at the castle, after breakfast
We headed right off to ride the Winnie the Pooh ride, which gets very busy. They had a cool interactive screen that looked like dripping honey.
Jungle Cruise - old school, but a must-do
Driving the remote-control boats
chasing birds around the wild west
Not the greatest pictures, but we had to document Anson riding "It's a Small World" since it seemed to be a favorite. He rode it twice.
Totally not a good picture, but I find this so funny - Papa waving to the little Italian character who is rowing a gondola
Grady really liked it too and wanted to discuss where every little kids was from
Carousel
We all rode Dumbo - are you scared of Dumbo, Nana?
About to ride Splash Mountain with Dada - apparently this was a favorite. He rode it twice.
Grady and Anson loved this little playground next to Splash Mountain - it was small and simple, but it kept them busy for a long time
I believe this was the People Mover. Dada took these pictures while I was back at the resort so Anson could nap. Grady and Dada hit about 10 rides while were gone!
The Buzz ride
The Astro Orbiter
We got back to the park with Anson, rode the racecar ride, the teacups, and then had dinner. On the way out we got to see the castle looking so pretty for Chrismtas!
