We headed to Isle of Palms, SC for Spring Break this year. It was nice because it is a fairly quick drive, and the kids did very well in the car. When we arrived, the weather was beautiful, so we dropped our things at the house and headed to the beach!
Camille, on the road
Eric and the kids with our house! It was just a couple houses from the beach, with an ocean view.
Camille enjoyed it right away!
We were going to eat at the Pavillion, but there was a wedding going on! So we got sandwiches at the deli and ate at our house.
Our view towards the ocean. Good night beach!
The next morning we found that the Easter Bunny had found us at the beach house!
Happy girl!
Checking out his kite!
This little bunny had a great Easter!
Anson loved these trucks!
Big smiles!
We headed out for an Easter Egg Hunt on the lawn. Grady was with Eric on the other lawn (6 and up was separate). It drizzled a little but didn't really matter to the kids!
Camille found about 7-8 eggs and put them in her basket all by herself!
She also loved the bunny and followed him around hugging him
When we got home she went right to work on the pots and pans!
Then we headed back out to brunch at the new restaurant in Wild Dunes, The Lettered Olive.
Waiting to go inside
The amazing dessert table! All made by the chef there!
The kids were so good and loved the food, especially dessert! They were the littles kids there and got lots of attention!
A well-deserved cookie. She ate a lot of eggs and fruit!
Grady!
It was getting warmer and sunnier so we headed to the beach for a bit
After nap time we made the 20 minute drive into Charleston to check out the Battery. The weather was beautiful for walking around!
We waded in a gorgeous fountain
They all checked out the canons (the boys had wandered away with Eric)
Beautiful Charleston in the evening
Grady and a statue
We loved checking out Charleston and seeing lots of things with "Anson" on them (it is a big name there!). We had dinner at a fun barbecue place on King Street and called it a night.
Lots more trip pictures to come!
