Disney Magic - Part 3

On our third full day at Disney we went to Animal Kingdom. It was everyone's first time at that park, and it is a beautiful place! We were there early for a character breakfast at Tusker House. It was a great place! The boys in front of the "Tree of Life" IMG_2131

Donald was greeting everyone outside the restaurant IMG_2134

Anson was not really a fan of this place, for some reason, but he did REALLY enjoy the "jungle juice"

Then we did this cool walking trail that led us through the forest and past all sorts of animals

We did an amazing safari where you ride through on a Jeep, but I did not have my camera. Here are a few pictures from Nana

After the safari we headed to Dinoland

The Dino Dig playground was a HUGE hit with both boys - we could have stayed for hours!

I am pretty sure Grady thought he was the head excavator

IMG_2175

We went to this very cool 3D movie that also had smell-effects and other cool surprises. It was based on "A Bug's Life". And look who was outside the movie - Flik! IMG_2177

Looking so cute!

IMG_2179

The parade was really fun, and Grady actually got some shout-outs for his birthday from people in the parade!

IMG_2186

Anson really enjoyed the parades

IMG_2190 IMG_2193 IMG_2195 IMG_2200 IMG_2202

Then we had to go back for one last visit to the Dino Dig

IMG_2203

We had dinner reservations at a fun and yummy place called Yak and Yeti. Look who is greeting customers!

The whole group, except Mama

IMG_2206

Grady was so excited to get another birthday surprise!

Now for a few videos... This man made up a birthday song for Grady on the spot, based on just a few questions he asked - it was so cool!

Disney Magic - Part 2

Our second full day at Disney we went to Magic Kingdom! This was the day I was waiting for - seeing the kids' reaction when they saw the castle and all of the great attractions at the Magic Kingdom. We got in early for breakfast and got a few pictures on an almost empty Main Street.

IMG_2079

And of course in front of the castle

IMG_2080

We headed over to the Crystal Palace and just had a short wait before they were ready for us.

IMG_2083

IMG_2085

It was such a nice place, and we really enjoyed meeting Pooh Bear and the gang!

IMG_2086

Look how excited Grady is!

Doing some sort of a dance through the restaurant

IMG_2095

More characters came to visit... Piglet!

IMG_2098

Tigger!

IMG_2099

The Crystal Palace really went all out for Grady's birthday - he got a cupcake with a candle, a card signed by the characters, and confetti on the table.

Nana and Papa at the castle, after breakfast

IMG_2102

We headed right off to ride the Winnie the Pooh ride, which gets very busy. They had a cool interactive screen that looked like dripping honey.

IMG_2103

Jungle Cruise - old school, but a must-do

IMG_2104

Driving the remote-control boats

IMG_2105

chasing birds around the wild west

IMG_2106

Not the greatest pictures, but we had to document Anson riding "It's a Small World" since it seemed to be a favorite. He rode it twice.

IMG_2107

Totally not a good picture, but I find this so funny - Papa waving to the little Italian character who is rowing a gondola

IMG_2109

Grady really liked it too and wanted to discuss where every little kids was from

IMG_2112

Carousel

IMG_2115

We all rode Dumbo - are you scared of Dumbo, Nana?

Nana and Papa Dumbo

About to ride Splash Mountain with Dada - apparently this was a favorite. He rode it twice.

IMG_2118

Grady and Anson loved this little playground next to Splash Mountain - it was small and simple, but it kept them busy for a long time

IMG_2121

I believe this was the People Mover. Dada took these pictures while I was back at the resort so Anson could nap. Grady and Dada hit about 10 rides while were gone!

IMG_2124

The Buzz ride

IMG_2126

The Astro Orbiter

IMG_2127

We got back to the park with Anson, rode the racecar ride, the teacups, and then had dinner. On the way out we got to see the castle looking so pretty for Chrismtas!
