Mother's Day

This Mother's Day was warm and sunny, so we decided to head to the South Carolina Botanical Gardens.  We have been there once, but it was several years ago, before Anson or Camille were born.

There is a cool old caboose near where you park.   The kids loved this!

Checking out the turtles in the pond

One was doing yoga (standing on his front legs only)

The Peter Rabbit garden was adorable!

That afternoon we played out back and tried to stay cool since it was around 90

Anson doing the slip n slide in his own special way

I love my three little ones more than anything, and since it is them who made me a mama, I am glad I was able to spend the day enjoying them!

Random Fun

All the beautiful weather we have had this spring has meant we have spent tons of time playing outside.  Here are just a few of our recent activities...

Playing at Cleveland Park

Talking to the pig at the zoo (he even linked at Camille)

Swimmy time

Chalk and water are a great mix!

Yay for warm sunny weather!

Happy Cow

We recently went to Happy Cow Creamery, hoping to pick strawberries.  However, we arrived and found out they were all picked out for the day.  That didn't stop is from having a fun time though!

Visiting with the cows...

I think the cow wants a kiss!

We also got a little peek at the milking area

Camille and Dada are "mooing"

Then we enjoyed some fresh ice cream, made from their milk

We also visited with some of the babies

It turned out to be a fun, unexpected little trip!

International Day

Grady and Anson recently had International Day at their school.  It is a super fun celebration, and I was really looking forward to it!  The kids all get dressed up in International costumes.  After being told that he could not dress as Spider-man, Anson said he wanted to be from England...

Grady decided to be a Gladiator

We also made international food.  G had to do it as homework and chose Afghanistan.  We made a sweet bread and a cucumber/tomato salad.  I chose to make scones for Anson, to stay on theme :)

The classes also performed so G's.  Here is A's class, doing a Spanish song.  He did great - smiling, singing and doing motions!  He is front and center.

Here is the video:

Then Grady's group came up on stage - see him walking out with his guitar?

G's class did a Spanish song and then did "Country Roads", which he played on guitar.

This is the Spanish song

Afterwards there were some fun activities.  We also got to lay their personalized stones in the school labyrinth.  See them in the middle there?

Anson got to play with his best bud, Frankie, too!

A couple more that were on the school website

Grady and Miss Bonnie, who he loves!

After all the fun, we also got to enjoy all the yummy food everyone brought.  It was such a great day!
