Father's Day Weekend

We had a great Father's Day weekend - beautiful weather and lots of time spent outside, playing with our favorite guy!

On Saturday we headed downtown for the big farmer's market and then to the park (did you know Fall's Park in Greenville was just selected on tripadvisor.com as one of the top 10 parks in the whole country!?  Lucky us!).

They just finished a big new area, with more fountains and a water wall, right next to the Peace Center!

Grady was checking out the river

We headed towards the Children's Garden

I love their alphabet garden!

After that we went out to lunch downtown at the Carolina Ale House.  We went swimming that afternoon.

The next day was Father's Day, and the kids were so excited to give Dada his homemade cards (all 3 made one) and gift.

Here they are making the gift a few days before...

Anson mixed the cement

And Grady laid the mosaic

The kids all made a handprint on it too!

After that, we headed out to Gateway Park, up in Traveller's Rest.  The kids played so nicely on the playground together.

Grady pushed Anson on the swings - sweet brother

Then it was Cami's turn on the swings.  There were no baby swings, but she held on and we just went very slow

That afternoon we went back downtown for dinner at Mellow Mushroom, but first we walked around a bit

And threw some sticks

Cute boys!

After dinner we got frozen yogurt - Cami is pulling one over on Grady

It was a super fun weekend, perfect for celebrating the best Dada!

All For the Boys

Though I have been enjoying having a tiny girl to play baby dolls with and have the occasional tea party with, the boys in this house do outnumber the girls, so we make sure to do lots of little boy activities.  Touch-a-truck has to be one of the most beloved by my boys.  We could have stayed all day, but since Grady had a soccer game before that, we just went for a bit.

Up first, the fire truck

Then a moving truck

Not sure - maybe a knuckle boom truck?

The boys have been spending LOTS of time together lately, and while there is some fighting, there is also some of this

They are both always ready for an adventure!

Like this one we recently took to Cedar Falls Park in Fountain Inn.  Great playground, nice hike (paved, so not too bad with a stroller), and beautiful falls at the end!

Cam was there too

This was the largest of the falls

Throwing sticks

The ruins of an old mill are here too

I had Grady take this one - not bad!

So pretty and very cool since there was no one else around.  The park is out in the country a bit and then the hike means even fewer people go to the falls

We even met a turtle friend on our hike back!

Just a few more of the boys...

Anson at Five Oaks, which will be his new school in the fall!  He had to have an assessment, and the teachers all loved him so much they said they would be fighting over who got to be his contact teacher.  Maybe it was the fact that he gave them all hugs and was super excited the whole time?

And, of course, a few of them doing what they do best - playing in the dirt!

Love those little guys!
