Thanksgiving

We enjoyed a nice low-key Thanksgiving here at home.  We did make a full feast, and the kids helped with different parts, which was fun.

Here is Anson, helping with the pie

There was some coloring

Here is the feast, all laid out

The little guys I am most thankful for!

Grady said Grace before dinner and did a very nice job (we don't call him "Pastor Grady" for nothing).  Everyone talked about what they were thankful for and generally ate well.  The big people actually had time for a second serving!  And everyone enjoyed our homemade creamy pumpkin pie (the boys helped with that!) after dinner.

A little more birthday

Grady's birthday was a month-long celebration this year - with a trip to Massachusetts, then a party, then the actual day, and finally (2 weeks late) his school celebration (which is quite a big deal!)

On his actual birthday we got up and had a special breakfast, opened gifts, then played with them for a while.  While the little guys napped Dada took him to see Frozen, and we ended the day with dinner at Mimi's Cafe (his choice).  Here are a few from that day.

He was SO excited about this big kid trike that makes sparks - thanks Nana and Papa!

Here he is on it a couple days later...

And just because they are cute, a few of what the little guys did while G was at the movies.   It was quite chilly for November in SC that day (it should be in the mid 60s) but it was still warm enough to play outside.

She loves her hat and mittens!

Anson drove her around

Grady had a fantastic day and the rest of us had fun celebrating with our favorite little 7 year old!

Noah's Ark

A few weekends ago Grady and Anson both participated in our church's production of Noah's Ark.  It was very special because it was Anson's first time doing a show (and he even had a line!).  He was a mouse.  It was also special because Grady (who was an elephant) played a guitar solo during the show.  He played "Twinkle Twinkle" and made quite an impression on everyone.  He got a huge response from the crowd and many compliments afterwards.  We are so proud of both boys!  They are currently working on the next production which will be a version of a Christmas Pageant, as told through the eyes of the donkey.  Grady will be Joseph and has several lines.  Anson will be a Wise Man, which is not a speaking role (at our request since I think he needed a break).

Here are a couple pictures from the play...
