Anson Turns Four - Part 3

Anson's actual birthday was chilly and rainy, but we still had some fun.  We took Anson out to breakfast at a place he has been asking to go.  Then we went to Cabella's to check out camping gear. After that we went to the movies to see Rio 2, which also happened to be Camille's first movie in the theater!

Opening gifts in the morning

He was thrilled with his baseball bat, tee, and mitt from Nana and Papa

He also got a Plasma Car from Gaga and Grandpa

We played around outside Cabella's for a bit

Then we headed to the movies

Camille was tired and pouting by then, but that is the poster for the movie we saw behind us

Later Anson opened a few more gifts and played with some things too

He opened his gift from Grammy Nancy and just HAD to put this shirt on right away

So Anson at FOUR is quite a fun little guy!  He is learning letters and knows quite a few.  He has even done a little bit of early reading.  He is also doing lots of great counting.  In general he really enjoyed school this year at Five Oaks Academy.  He made many friends and was quite popular.  He also learned a lot and loved the practical life lessons.  He is into sports (at least the idea of them), especially baseball.  He has been using his new baseball tee, mitt, and bat, and really seems to have a natural talent for it.  He is interested in God and asks quite a few questions about God.  Though he can be a challenge, he also has a very sweet, kind side to him.  He adores both his siblings and loves to "take care" of Camille. He is also a total Mama's Boy and loves to hug, kiss, and cuddle with Mama.  He often tells me how he will always love me and how much he loves me.  Of course, he is also very into anything that he thinks is "big man", so it's an interesting mix :)

At his 4 year well-child visit, he was 34.8 pounds (40.8%) and 40 inches (44.1%), so he is growing well!  Though he has been sick a lot in the past, he has been much healthier, in general.

We love you Ansy Boo!
