A Fun Springtime Weekend

Last weekend was particularly fun. I was especially happy to get some nice time with Grady. The weekend before Eric had to work a bunch, and before that he was away, so we were in need of a nice family weekend. On Saturday I took Grady to the "Swamp Rabbit Trail", which is a 35 mile trail that connects downtown Greenville with the mountains. We hiked about 3 miles, I would say, and he was just so much fun. Wnat to know what the best part was? He held my hand the whole way! After coming home and napping we all went and got ice cream at this cute little ice cream place that opened up last year in an old train station in downtown Simpsonville. The ice cream is from a local dairy farm, and it was just such a cute place. Grady loved it, of course, and Anson tried his first ice cream ever! Needless to say, he LOVED it. We walked around town a bit and then came home for a little cook-out. We hadn't had gas for our grill for a while, so I was missing grilling out. But Eric just got some, so we had grilled turkey burgers, which were so yummy. Eric is the grill master! Some pictures from Grady and my morning downtown... They put a really nice announcement in the April newsletter about Anson's baptism, along with a picture of the family. After church we all played outside since it was so warm and sunny. We pulled out both water tables and all got wet. Then we had friends over for another cook-out! Anson enjoyed dinner with his baby girlfriend, and Grady had a blast sitting at the picnic table with his best friend.
